Mission
Remy Capital Partners exists for a single purpose: to acquire one founder or family-owned business in Southern California and make it the foundation of a lifelong career as an owner-operator. No portfolio. Not a fund with an investment clock. We are one company, one committed operator, with capital partners who underwrite for the long term.
I am drawn to businesses that do real work that matters to our nation: the manufacturers, industrial services, and specialty shops that quietly serve the warfighter by keeping our defense and industrial base running. I spent nearly a decade as a U.S. Navy SEAL, trusting my life to equipment built by American companies most people have never heard of. I understand why the work must be done right.
If you have built something worth being proud of and are thinking about what comes next, I would like to earn the opportunity to carry it forward.
Who I Am
Founder & Managing Partner
I was born and raised in Orange County, California, and grew up in a family that works with their hands and their hearts. I spent my early summers on the shop floor of my family's industrial businesses, and that is where I first learned how a small company actually works: the customers who count on you, the crew that shows up at dawn, and the owner who knows every name on the payroll.
After college, I enlisted in the Navy and was fortunate to earn my place in the SEAL Teams, where I served for nearly a decade. While I had a degree, my choice to enlist rather than commission as an officer was intentional. I wanted to be on the ground and in the water, operating alongside my teammates and solving problems in real time. I planned missions, led small teams under pressure, and lived by a specific standard of excellence where trust is earned, and the best idea wins regardless of rank.
Much of my service was spent underwater on dive status, locking in and out of submarines on operations that will never be written about. What I can tell you is this: I have seen up close how much of our national security rests on parts, systems, and services built by small American companies. When that equipment left the factory floor, someone like me bet his life on it, and my teammates still do today. That perspective shapes the business I want to own and how I intend to run it.
After leaving the Navy, I set a deliberate course toward owning and operating an American manufacturing business. Building on my B.A. in Business Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, I enrolled in UCLA Anderson School of Management's MBA program to further develop the financial and operational toolkit that ownership demands. During my time at UCLA, I worked with small businesses and investment firms across aerospace and defense, manufacturing, and industrial sectors, supporting operations and strategic growth.
I live in Santa Monica with my wife, Elizabeth, and we are expecting our first child. Outside of work, you will find me surfing, golfing, riding dirt bikes, or continuing my quest to spear the biggest bluefin tuna in the world.
You and your family have spent years, sometimes generations, building something worth being proud of: the culture, the team, and the reputation. I do not want to change any of that. I am looking to honor it, strengthen it, and carry it forward.
I am one person buying one business. There is no investment timeline forcing another sale in five years. Your business will be my next 30+ year career. My commitment is to your employees, your customers, and the community your business serves.
In the SEAL Teams, our rule for every dive was simple: plan the dive, dive the plan. The hard thinking and discussion happened on the surface before we dove in. Business succession works the same way. The transitions that succeed are planned early, with full transparency, and on a timeline the owner controls. The ones that go badly are rushed or on a timeline set by someone else. You set the pace. I will match it.
The two things that matter most to me, and what you can expect after we close:

Company Attributes:
I am looking for a business that is an enabling link in our national security supply chain: the parts, coatings, test work, sustainment, or services that primes and end users cannot function without. My test is simple: if this company disappeared tomorrow, would someone in uniform feel it?
I spent my Navy career on the receiving end of that supply chain. I know how the product is used, what failure costs, and where demand is headed. That is the edge I bring to owning one of these businesses, and it is why I am focused on the industries listed above rather than elsewhere.
Remy Capital Partners is a veteran-owned firm, founded by a 100 percent service-disabled Navy SEAL veteran. I have a particular interest in businesses serving federal and Department of War customers, where I understand the mission, the customer, and the standard the work must meet.
